About us

York Triathlon Club is a multi-sport community club affiliated with Triathlon England.

Based in the beautiful and historic City of York, North Yorkshire, we cater for all ranges of ability for all ages 18 years and above. We don't currently have a Junior Section, although this is something the club may consider in the future.

Our club has a large number of BTF certified Triathlon Coaches, as well as a range of single-discipline specific fully-qualified coaches such as Running Coaches, Run and Ride Leaders, Spin Instructors and Personal Trainers.

We offer training sessions every day of the week, 50 weeks of the year, and boast a membership of over 200 athletes that come from all walks of life, and with all levels of ability.

YTC offers a friendly, supportive and encouraging environment for you to participate in the various disciplines of the sport, whether you are brand new to any or all of the disciplines or are an experienced athlete competing for Team GB's Age Group Squad.

Monday 18:30 20:30 Chaingang All

Fast paced group training ride.

The pace will depend on who turns up and hopefully we will get several groups of 6-8 riders of similar ability. The route takes us to a loop around Appleton Roebuck, Acaster Selby and Acaster Malbis which we repeat several times (light permitting). Bring lights and winter bike for the earlier season sessions. It would also be useful to have a speedo to monitor pace/effort.

Go on, it's not too scary.....it's actually good fun!

It is a great way of aclamitising for race situations without the pressure of actually racing. Fun and friendly, it is also a great way to start your weekend. There are two Parkruns in York - one at York Racecourse and one at York Sports Village. Sign-up with Parkrun online to get your printable barcode prior to your first parkrun event.
